Undercover drug sting nets three arrests, more expected | Crime
IREDELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A three-month undercover investigation landed three people in jail who are accused of trafficking drugs from Charlotte to Iredell County.
The undercover officer bought nearly $30,000 worth of drugs from the suspects, according to Sheriff Phil Redmond. Detectives also seized $4500 in cash during the bust.
One suspect, Humberto Ruiz-Cruz wore an electronic monitor, according to the Sheriff. Ramiro Ramirez-Vargas and Andrea Macedo were also arrested. They are all between 19 and 24 years old. Ramirez-Vargas and Ruiz-Cruz have immigration detainers.
More arrests are expected.
