Hiddenite man wanted on drug charges caught during traffic stop, deputies say | Crime
STATESVILLE, NC (WBTV) - A routine traffic stop led Iredell County Sheriff's deputies to a man wanted for outstanding drug charges.
Jose Angel Rios Jr., 28, of Hiddenite, is charged with driving while license revoked, displaying a revoked registration plate as well as outstanding warrants for carrying a concealed weapon, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia, according to a news release from the Iredell County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies stopped Rios on Sunday along the Taylorsville Highway for a vehicle registration violation. Rios' outstanding warrants are in Iredell and Alexander Counties.
Rios was placed in the Iredell County Detention Center under a $1,500 bond.
