MOORESVILLE - Community members looking to continue their education will have an additional opportunity with a November start for the master’s degree in leadership at Mountain State University Mooresville. Information sessions for the program will be held throughout November.
The Master of Science in Strategic Leadership is a practical degree that builds on each student’s experience and knowledge. The curriculum is structured to help students establish effective teams in the workplace, adapt to change and develop their negotiation skills. The degree program is offered in an accelerated format and can be completed in about 18 months through classes meeting one night a week. M.S.S.L. classes will start Monday, Nov. 29. Information sessions have been scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 2,and Thursday, Nov. 4, at the Statesville Chamber of Commerce. Additional information sessions will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays throughout November (except for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 25) at MSU Mooresville, located at Catalina Bay, 517 Alcove Road, Lake Norman. Mountain State University is one of only a few academic institutions in the United States offering leadership degrees at all levels, from the bachelor’s degree to the doctorate, with classes available both online and at classroom locations.
